Scholarship Athletic Awards
Boosters 2023-2024 Scholarship Form (DRAFT)
Each year the Wildcat Club gives out financial Athletic Awards to graduating seniors based on the student's outstanding achievements in sports, academics, extracurricular, community service and their personal statements. Deep Run seniors are invited to apply for one of these awards.
**All recipients must have a parent or guardian who is a member of the Wildcat Club. Wildcat Club Memberships

Deep Run Booster Club Scholarship for Athletics
The Deep Run Booster Club will present four $1000 scholarships to one male senior and one female senior that display excellence with in the athletic department of Deep Run High School. The intent to cover a overall great student, athletic, and community involved athlete overall that represents Deep Run High School as a whole.

Darrell R. Jenkins Scholarship for Excellence
The Deep Run High School Wildcat Club will present two $250.00 scholarships to one male senior and one female senior that displays excellence within the athletic department of Deep Run High School. The intent of these scholarships is to recognize someone working behind the scene as a student assistant for a team, trainer assistant or a player that provides excellence beyond the games to the success of their team’s program.
The scholarships will be selected by the Deep Run High School Principal, the Director of Student Activities and Darrell Jenkins, former Director of Student Activities. Nominations will be made by Varsity Head Coaches, the Athletic Trainer and the current Director of Student Activities. Nominations will be solicited by the Director of Student Activities.

- Art Washburn: 1 - $1000 Award to overall Athlete

Art Washburn Make A Difference Award
Art Washburn was a proud Deep Run parent and community leader who lived his life serving others. He dedicated his time and talents towards various nonprofit organizations whose causes he was passionate--one being the Athletic Boosters of Deep Run High School. He never stopped working to make the world a better place and encouraged others to give of themselves.
This $1000 award will be given to the student athlete who best displays Art’s qualities and commitment to making a difference. This application (all 3 parts) must be submitted electronically (emailed) to the DRHS Student Activities Director at mjkidd@henrico.k12.va.us by due date above. (NOTE: Deadline will not be extended.)
